SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER, 2023

OPENING RECEPTION SEPTEMBER 15, 2023 / 5PM-8PM

Erik Jutras (aka Mr. Pixelhead) is a San Francisco based photographer captivated by documenting the world through his beloved analog and digital cameras.

Inspired by famed street photographers of the likes of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Weegee, Diane Arbus, Danny Lyon, Vivian Maier and so many more, he took to shooting candid images of strangers in the streets of this incredible city on his daily commute to work on Muni, or by bicycle. Not long after, he discovered the endless thrills of motorcycle riding and became increasingly embedded within a moto community that championed his same creative passions. It didn’t take long before he set his focus on capturing the unforgettable experiences and solid friendships that motorcycling offered.

He hopes you’ll enjoy his new series of photographs titled “Night Moves” that feature some vintage vehicles and their pilots illuminated by the vibrant glow of some of his favorite surviving

MAY-JUNE, 2023

Nestled within the verdant hills and active volcanoes of the Democratic Republic of Congo lies a land of unparalleled beauty. Yet, this wondrous terrain belies a darker reality, where the people face ceaseless political and social turmoil amidst an ever-changing climate. Amongst this strife, the indomitable spirit of the Congolese people persists.

On the fringes of this magnificent country, where the borders of Congo and Rwanda converge, stands the town of Goma. Here, a band of youths has forged a community of boxers, in a place where the concept of home is as elusive as the winds that sweep across the African plains. In the heart of Goma, amid the ruins of a shattered stadium, these young adults come together to train, to dream, and to hope for a better future.

In a land fraught with complexity, opportunities for children, particularly those who call the streets home, are few and far between. Many face the grim prospect of being conscripted into rebel armies that roam the outskirts, or into the country's own military machine. Yet, within the ring, these young boxers find a way to defend themselves, while also learning invaluable lessons about mental health and coping with past traumas. Theirs is a story of resilience, perseverance, and the enduring human spirit that triumphs in the face of adversity.

The Path To Balance

Break Loose Arts started as a humble painting studio in a chicken coop in Penngrove, California. Artist and founder Travis Neditch used this space after art school to develop techniques, explore composition, study design and learn everything he could about graphic art.

As business improved and demand for his artwork and vector graphics grew, he moved out of the coop to start a new chapter in a larger studio space in downtown Petaluma, California. This was the beginning of Break Loose Arts. The name reflects the idea that you must break free from anything holding back growth in order to reach new heights of achievment.

The first graphic created representing this new chapter became the main logo for Break Loose Arts. It depicts a two headed tiger breaking free from chains that restrained it from its nature. The two heads represent the two sides of the brain. The creative side and the practical side. The artist feels that when the two sides of the brain work together in perfect balance we unlock the formula for sustained creative productivity.

At Break Loose Arts we understand the importance of harmony in great design but also in the relationship with our clientele. Together we can create perfect symmetry by pairing your remarkable business with brilliant graphics to match. Together we can Break Loose from the mediocre.

About Nina:

Photography is magic

For me, the most special part of my job is getting to witness and understand the essence of a person, brand, or place and to capture it visually, for the viewer to truly feel that essence come through in even just one image. I absolutely love what I do and believe every project I take on, regardless of size or scope, should be a natural, fun experience for my clients. Over the past 15 years I've worked in practically all aspects of the industry of photography. I've also collaborated with several big tech companies, shooting and building libraries of images to help achieve large-scale branding goals. I bring all of this knowledge and experience into my present work, as well as an ability to not only understand my clients and their specific needs on a deeper level but also find unique, creative ways to capture and share their vision with the world.

Let’s make some magic together!
