Hi!

We are Alyssa and Tim Herod owners and founders of Wood Goods and Hot Sauce, our passion project created to bring more community and gatherings to the (27th best neighborhood in the world) Richmond District of San Francisco!

The name Wood Goods and Hot Sauce sprouted from our simple idea to open a space to sell Tim’s line of Hot Sauce and showcase Alyssa’s brother's wood sculpted art. After designing and building out the shop, we have expanded the vision to include many products on our retail shelves and rotating artists featuring on our gallery wall.

On our shelves, you can find various products from makers we have found at various craft fairs and vendor markets, as well as online wholesale marketplaces that provide selling space for small businesses and makers. We sell textiles, bath and body/self-care, kitchen, ceramics, small gifts and, last but not least, a wide variety of hot sauces from our favorite makers.

On our gallery wall, we showcase 6 art openings a year featuring different artists from the Bay Area and beyond.

We met in 2015; Tim was working on sets at Restoration Hardware photo studio, and Alyssa was working as a stylist for an interior design company doing home stagings throughout San Francisco.

In 2017, we decided to team up and start our own home staging and interior design business, Mint Staging, which we have been happily owning and operating ever since. Our passion of staging and styling spaces to be inviting and to inspire new homeowners to create their own personal sanctuaries, spawned the idea to open a small retail shop where we could further express our creativity and love for art, home goods, and Tim’s hot sauce…which are all things we think are clutch items to make a happy home. And now as new parents, we have finally become the Mom and Pop shop we dreamed of being!

We are grateful that we get to work with so many talented artists and are enthusiastic about meeting and supporting small businesses around the globe!
